Dionne McCarthy joined the Drill4Life board in 2014. Born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe she now calls Columbus, Ohio, home, but her homeland holds a dear place in her heart, as she has many relatives still living there. Formerly known as Miss Zimbabwe 1995, Dionne worked with many nonprofit organizations over a 20-year period helping disabled children, assisting in developing AIDS education programs for women and many other fund-raising events and activities. Her legacy lives on in Zimbabwe. Dionne works to ensure the focus on the mission of the organizations she serves is complete and successful. Dionne left her country in 1998 to move to the London, UK. After a successful career in London, she moved to the United States to peruse a successful career in Sales Leadership. Dionne has worn many hats at focusing on Sales growth and development. In addition to owning a real estate investment business in central Ohio, she and her husband are successful entrepreneurs making wise use of their resources to provide opportunities for other individuals to succeed. Here is where she met Simba Maswela and Stacey Lambright and quickly became one of the founding members of Drill4Life.

Prior to joining Drill4Life, Dionne provided strategic planning and leadership support for many non-profit causes. Her community work includes serving on a variety of charity event fund raisers through her church. Despite her unquestioned success, Dionne remains humble about her accomplishments. She maintains that it’s important to keep the right perspective, something she’s strived to instill in her children.
